Face Detection with computer vision
Face Detection
Face detection is a technology for identifying and localizing human faces in images and videos. Face detection is used in areas like biometrics, facial recognition, video surveillance, identity verification, etc.
The most common use of face detection is autofocus in modern cameras. Now cameras have advanced sensors to detect human faces that help maintain focus for better photography. The same detection is also used for hand-free photography by detecting smiles.
Face Recognition
A facial recognition system is a technology for identifying people in photos, videos, or in real-time. Face recognition is capable of matching a human face from a digital image or a video frame against a database of faces, typically employed to authenticate a person’s identity through ID verification services.
Facial Motion Tracking
Facial motion tracking is the process of converting the movements of a person’s face into a digital database using cameras or laser scanners. This database can be used to produce computer graphics, animation for movies, games, or real-time avatars. The models created from real people’s motion tracking are usually more realistic than animation created manually.
